CHASING WAVES: SURFING BAGASBAS

Bagasbas beach is now becoming a popular surf spot in Daet, Camarines Norte. It’s a good pit stop when you’re on your way back to Manila from the pristine Calaguas Island or vice versa. From Paracale, there is a public van that goes to Daet and can take you a little further to Bagasbas for an extra charge. Note that the van only leaves once its full so there could be a little waiting time. You can ask the driver or the dispatcher if you can hire the van privately (which we did) to save time.

If you want to go try surfing, you can rent a board from the hotel, adjacent to Catherine’s restaurant for 150-200 pesos per hour. Additionally, they can also find instructors for you which costs the same. Pretty much the similar price to other surfing spots like La Union and Baler.
